Burley Washington (aka Ricky Gloston) collapsed as he was brought out of the patrol car at the Opelousas Police Department and about to be brought into the jail. Washington was arrested just before 10 p.m. following a disturbance call at Evangeline Downs Casino. When police arrived, they reportedly found Washington being restrained by security officers before police took him into custody. Police said that once at the police department, Washington collapsed. An ambulance was called to transport Washington to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m.
