Ramos went to a house and kicked in the door. A resident, 19, armed himself with a handgun and a knife and shot at Ramos. Ramos ran away. The resident tried to subdue Ramos in Westhampton Drive, stabbing him in the process. A bystander called 911. Officers responded, handcuffed Ramos and called EMS. Ramos died at the scene. The resident was either no-billed or never brought before a grand jury.
