Deadly force
Officers were said to have "tried unsuccessfully to communicate with" schizophrenic Sachariat for six hours during an armed standoff. He was heavily armed, agitated, and took perhaps 15 shots at police. Ultimately a sniper fatally shot him in the left eye.
