Ricardo Lopez Castaneda allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend. Law enforcement in four counties cooperated to locate his other. In Burleson County, Castaneda drove over law enforcement spike strips, but continued to drive. Castaneda slowed down on FM 262 to turn onto CR 205. His ex-girlfriend jumped out of the other. Castaneda fatally shot himself.
