At Rest

Less-than-lethal force
Reginald Heron died after being handcuffed by police following a 10-minute foot chase. According to police, two officers approached Heron just after 7 a.m. because he matched the description of a man who broke into the Academy of Our Lady Convent. Four officers eventually apprehended Heron and restrained him with four pairs of handcuffs, police said. He was standing next to a squad car when he slumped to his knees, police said. Heron was pronounced dead shortly before 8 a.m.
