Raymond Keith Martinez was intoxicated and refusing to leave a convenience store. West Monroe Police Officer Jody LeDoux arrived at the scene and Martinez still refused to leave. Martinez reached for something in a bin, the police officer thought it was a gun and shot and killed Martinez. The object turned out to be a cell phone.
