Around 9:30 p.m. Collegedale Police Officer Burlon Hayworth spotted Randy Goforth heading south, allegedly at speeds of 70-80 mph in a 35 mph zone. He waited until Goforth got closer before he turned on his emergency lights. Goforth didn't pull over, and Hayworth pursued him. The pursuit continued onto a small, dead-end street until Goforth fatally crashed into the woods behind a house.
