Rafael Gonzalez was killed after crashing his motorcycle into another other while fleeing police. At about 6:20 p.m., an officer reportedly tried to stop Gonzalez for speeding on the Pittsburg/Antioch Highway near Arcy Lane. Gonzalez allegedly refused to pull over and continued onto Auto Center Drive. According to officials, police discontinued the pursuit for safety reasons. About half a mile later, Gonzalez crashed into a car in Antioch and died at the scene. Two people in the car suffered minor injuries.
