Deadly force
Several hundred people gathered in the neighborhood, some of whom threw rocks and bottles, to protest the fatal police shooting of McIver. Officials were not forthcoming with all details of the incident. The chief cited "other circumstances here in play that we can't get into." Reportedly McIver was in the street and clad only in a T-shirt when officers arrived, and he went for an officer's gun.
