Deadly force

U.S. Marshals officers were serving a warrant, when the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department responded to assist. The U.S. Marshal made contact with individuals inside the residence who were able to positively identify one of the individuals as the suspect the marshals were there to apprehend. The suspect exchanged gunfire with the U.S. Marshals and barricaded himself inside the residence. After several unsuccessful attempts to make contact with the suspect, the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department's Special Operations Unit entered the residence and found the man, dead inside a closet, from an apparent gunshot wound.
