Osama Khaled D’eij succumbed to critical wounds sustained when he was shot with expanding bullets by Israeli forces while participating in a protest commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Osama Khaled D’eij was a 32-year-old Palestinian man from Gaza City, located in central Gaza. He was recently married, only about a month before his tragic death. On August 21, 2021, Osama participated in protests near the perimeter fence east of Gaza City, during which he was critically injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli forces. Despite being rushed to the Shifa Medical Center and undergoing surgery, he succumbed to his wounds four days later, on August 25. His death occurred during a period of heightened tension, as the protests coincided with the 52nd anniversary of the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Osama Khaled D’eij, 32, was a resident of Gaza City in the central Gaza Strip. A recently married man, his life was cut short during a demonstration near the Israeli perimeter fence east of the city. On Saturday, August 21, 2021, Israeli forces opened fire on protesters, and Osama was struck by live expanding bullets, sustaining serious wounds.
