Deadly force

Oliver Hernandez was at his mother's apartment at 1 a.m., when he locked himself in the bathroom. Family members said he might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police arrived at 4 a.m. where a standoff began. The family--a mother, three children, and three other adults-- left the apartment safely. Police entered the apartment and shot and killed the man when he allegedly threatened officers with an ax.
