Odai Harzallah
Odai Harzallah was killed after being injured in an Israeli drone strike near a shelter for displaced civilians west of Gaza City during the ongoing war in Gaza. According to his father, the strike occurred near a school operated by UNRWA that had been converted into a shelter for displaced people.
Odai Harzallah died from severe injuries caused by shrapnel and blast effects sustained during an Israeli drone strike. After the explosion, he was transported by ambulance to Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, where doctors attempted to save his life through surgery. Despite medical efforts, he died approximately four hours after entering surgery.
Biography
Odai Harzallah was a 13-year-old Palestinian boy from Gaza and the only son of Ahmed Harzallah. He was described by his family as a caring child who helped look after his four sisters and excelled in school. He dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping others. He died after being wounded in an Israeli drone strike near a civilian shelter in Gaza.
Odai Harzallah was a Palestinian teenager living with his family in Gaza during a period of intense conflict and displacement. As the only son among five children, he played an important role within the family, helping care for his four sisters, whose ages ranged from infancy to adolescence. His father described him as academically successful, responsible, and compassionate. Odai reportedly hoped to become a doctor in the future so he could treat and help people in need. On the night of the attack, he was spending time near a shelter for displaced civilians when an Israeli drone strike struck the area. He suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital, where medical teams attempted life-saving surgery. His death deeply affected his family, particularly his father, who was himself critically injured and permanently blinded in the same explosion.

His father, Ahmed Harzallah, expressed profound grief and repeatedly spoke about his son's importance to the family. Among his statements were:
"Odai was my life and the man of the house."
"He was excellent in school and dreamed of becoming a doctor to treat people. He left without a goodbye."
