Two local jurisdictions chased and then broke off pursuits on Sherman in his 1998 red Corvette, driving around erratically at 1 a.m. with a suspended license. Speeds ranged up to 100 MPH. The second involved officer came across the wrecked Corvette down an embankment, with Sherman thrown from the car and dead at the scene.
