Phoenix police say they got a tip a man wanted in connection with at least six armed robbery attempts was staying at Motel 6. When they tried to arrest Tewa; he attempted to leave in a stolen other. Officers ordered him to display his hands and leave the other. Police said Tewa refused to comply and began ramming the occupied police other with the stolen other. Authorities say two officers shot at Tewa "to end the violent encounter."
