Police were called to a domestic-violence shooting reported around 9:45 p.m. at a home. Nicholas Pearson, 36, had barricaded himself inside his mother's residence after apparently shooting his mother in the back multiple times. The standoff ended around 2 a.m. when Pearson was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.
