Nester Luis DeJesus robbed a Bank of America and escaped to The Crossing apartment complex where he got into an altercation with police. A police officer was slain and another was wounded as they chased DeJesus into the apartment complex, sparking a four-hour standoff. The standoff ended when DeJesus killed himself inside the barricaded apartment of an innocent bystander.
