Deadly force
Driving along off-duty, an officer heard gunshots coming from an alley between North Lavergne and Patterson avenues. He saw a teenager running toward him holding a gun. He allegedly ordered the boy to drop the pistol but he didn't comply. The officer said he feared he was going to be carjacked and shot the subject three times. The subject succumbed to his injuries that night at the hospital.
