Around 11:15 p.m. Pocatello police were dispatched to a disturbance involving Neal Nevada, who was armed with a knife, and a woman. Nevada fled from the scene of the disturbance in a other, and police confronted him about three blocks away. Nevada exited his car brandishing two kitchen knives and advanced upon the two police officers, who shot him eight times, killing him.
