Deadly force

Uniformed officers in a marked patrol other responded to a radio call for a "Person Screaming, Person with a Weapon." Upon arrival, the officers saw a male straddling a female with a knife at her neck. The offender stood-up and came toward the officers with the knife in his hand. The officers ordered the offender to drop the knife, but he did not. One officer shot and killed the man. Philadelphia police do not identify people they kill or the officers who kill them.
