At around 11 p.m., an unnamed cyclist was struck and killed by off-duty officer Eric Prinz's pick-up truck. Investigators said a 70-year-old man on a bicycle was traveling against traffic on Martin Luther King Boulevard approaching South Claiborne Avenue, when he allegedly disregarded a red light at the intersection. He died at the scene. Prinz reportedly took a field sobriety test, including a breathalyzer. The NOPD said the results were negative.
