Authorities responded to an apartment, where a distraught teen inside was threatening to hurt himself with a handgun. Police first spoke with the boy by phone, before he hung up on negotiators. They then used a loudspeaker, but the boy did not respond. Most of the officers had left the scene around noon when it was determined the boy was not a threat to himself or anyone else. A family member went inside the apartment and discovered the boy had killed himself.
