A DWI officer attempted to make a traffic stop because the car was speeding, police said. The driver sped off, despite the officer having his emergency lights on. The officer reportedly discontinued the chase while the car sped out of the officer's sight. The driver hit a large metal pole. The impact ripped apart the other into four pieces and killed the driver.
