When officers attempted to stop the subject for a traffic violation, he sped off. Police pursued and said the subject appeared to throw a gun out the window during the chase. The chase ended when the subject, driving the wrong way, crashed head on with another car. The subject exited the other brandishing a handgun, and the officer shot and killed him.
