About 7 p.m., deputies were searching for a homicide suspect. Deputies were speaking with a man unrelated to the homicide when he began to reach inside his waistband. A scuffle began between the man and deputy. During the man reached into his waistband, retrieved a weapon and shot the deputy in the leg. The deputy shot and killed him.
