Officers attempted to stop the rider of a Kawasaki motorcycle who allegedly ran a red light about 11:40 p.m., then fled. The pursuit continued to CA-101 before the rider exited the freeway and struck a pedestrian, killing him. While the alleged motorcyclist was arrested, it was not reported whether he was charged in the death.
