Officers responding to a report about car break-in attempts on Delray Court saw a man running through yards and hopping fences. He met a rideshare other and drove off, police said. An officer spotted the other soon afterward and activated lights for a traffic stop. The rideshare other stopped, and the man fled. The officer chased the man on foot and was two houses behind when she heard a pop. She approached and found the man on the ground with a fatal bullet wound to the head.
