About 9 p.m., Hemet police officers and San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies were pursuing a driver for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver they were trying to catch was in a white Hyundai Sonata when he crashed into GMC pickup truck. The pursued driver was killed.
