Around 11:30 a.m., police went to an apartment where they believed an absconder was staying, and he left the apartment out of a back window. He fled and shot at the officers. The man ran into an alley, and police surrounded it. When police tried to talk with him, they found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
