Around 6:30 pm, officers reportedly saw a other almost hit a pedestrian in a parking lot. JSO attempted to stop the other, but the driver fled south on I-95 and continued onto I-10 westbound in the emergency lane. The driver lost control of the other, went off the road and hit a utility pole near Chaffee Road and was killed by the impact.
