Police responded to a report of auto burglaries by a person armed with a sword. Officers found the man inside a other and surrounded him about 3 p.m. He remained barricaded inside the other for about two and a half hours. He exited the other with a sword in a sheath tucked in his beltline. Officers shot him with a less-lethal shotgun and fired several beanbag rounds. The man began to flee on foot, still armed with the sword, and police sicced a dog on him. The man fought the dog, and police tasered him. He was taken into custody, where he died.
