One unidentified man was killed and another was injured after their car hit a tree following a police pursuit. According to police, officers with a JCSO task force were investigating burglaries in Roeland Park when they saw a suspicious minivan at around 10:45 p.m. A deputy and a RPPD officer pursued the van north into Kansas City. The officers reportedly lost the minivan at S 9th Street and County Line Road, but later found it had crashed. The passenger died the next morning.
