Nadia Shahmiri was a nine-year-old student from Minab in Iran’s Hormozgan Province. She attended Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School, where many young students from the community studied. On 28 February 2026, Nadia was at school when missiles struck the building during an air attack amid the Iran conflict. The explosions destroyed large parts of the school and caused the deaths of many students and staff members. Nadia Shahmiri was among the children who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Nadia Shahmiri was a young schoolgirl living in the southern Iranian city of Minab in Hormozgan Province. She was a student at Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School, a local elementary school attended by many children in the area. Like most students her age, Nadia spent her days studying, learning with classmates, and participating in school life.

On the morning of 28 February 2026, Nadia was present at school when missiles struck the building during a series of air strikes in the region. The attack occurred while students were inside the school, causing severe destruction. Large sections of the building collapsed after the explosions, trapping many children beneath the rubble.
