His death occurred during a large-scale Israeli offensive that involved airstrikes, artillery, and naval shelling, which targeted homes, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, resulting in multiple casualties and widespread destruction.

Mohammad Nazeer Abu al-‘Oun, aged 18, lived in Tal Al-Hawa, Gaza City. On May 17, 2021, during the ninth consecutive day of an intense Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, he was killed by Israeli missiles in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza.
