Mohammad was shot in the chest by Israeli forces while seated in a vehicle driven by his father, who had just made a U-turn near an Israeli military post. Soldiers allegedly ordered the car to stop and then opened fire without provocation. The bullet struck Mohammad, critically injuring him. Despite immediate medical intervention, he was declared dead at al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron shortly after arrival.

Biography

Mohammad Moayyad al-‘Allami was an 11-year-old Palestinian boy from Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. He was a sixth-grade student at Beit Ummar Basic School. On July 28, 2021, Mohammad was fatally shot by Israeli soldiers while riding in a car with his father and sister after a routine grocery shopping trip. He sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and died shortly after being transported to al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron.

Mohammad Moayyad al-‘Allami, age 11, was a sixth-grade student at Beit Ummar Basic School and lived with his family in Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank. On July 28, 2021, he was killed when Israeli soldiers opened fire on the car his father was driving. According to local officials, the family had just finished grocery shopping and were returning home with bread, vegetables, and snacks. After the father made a U-turn near the Abu Toaq area, Israeli soldiers stationed at the entrance of the town reportedly shouted at the vehicle, demanding it stop. Without further warning, one of the soldiers fired live rounds at the car, hitting Mohammad in the chest. His father and sister were not injured.
