Mohammad Ishaq Hmeid, 25, was a Palestinian from Beit Anan town, northwest of occupied Jerusalem. On May 18, 2021, he was shot by Israeli soldiers near Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank. Despite being rushed to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah with a severe chest injury, he succumbed to his wounds. His killing occurred amid a day of intense violence in the Ramallah area, during which multiple Palestinians were injured, ambulances and journalists were targeted, and two other Palestinians — Adham Fayez Mousa Kashef and Islam Wael Burnat — were also killed by Israeli army fire.
