Biography
Mohammad-Hossein Sheikhi was an Iranian civilian and father who was traveling with his family in Markazi Province when government forces opened fire on their vehicle. He was killed alongside his wife, child, and a female relative in an incident that has been cited by rights groups as emblematic of unlawful use of lethal force against civilians during Iran’s recent security campaign.
Mohammad-Hossein Sheikhi lived in Iran with his wife and young daughter, Raha Sheikhi. On the evening of July 17, 2025, he was traveling with his immediate family and a female relative in Khomein when Iranian armed forces targeted their vehicles during an operation reportedly linked to guarding a military facility. All four family members were killed at the scene.
