Mohammad Hisham Abu Keshik, a 22-year-old Palestinian from Nablus in the occupied West Bank, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during a large-scale military invasion of the city on November 24, 2022. He died from catastrophic internal injuries after being struck by an expanding bullet in the abdomen, which tore through his intestines, leaving them protruding from his body.

The Israeli military launched a massive raid on Nablus, deploying dozens of armored vehicles and bulldozers, sparking intense clashes near Joseph’s Tomb in the eastern part of the city. Soldiers opened indiscriminate fire, using live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, and concussion grenades against protesters. Mohammad, who was not engaged in hostilities and far from the main confrontation, was hit by a high-velocity expanding round—a banned munition designed to cause severe tissue damage. The bullet ruptured his abdominal cavity, shredding his intestines, and he bled profusely before being rushed to Rafidia Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

In the same raid, 16-year-old Ahmad Amjad Shehada was shot in the heart and later died, while 32 other Palestinians were injured, including one struck in the head by a concussion grenade and another shot in the arm. The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the use of excessive and indiscriminate force, noting that many victims were unarmed civilians.
