Mohammad Abdullah Saleh Hamed was a 16-year-old Palestinian boy from the town of Silwad, located east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah. Like many Palestinian teenagers, Mohammad grew up under the harsh realities of military occupation—frequent raids, movement restrictions, and a tense, often dangerous environment. On June 24, 2022, during yet another Israeli military incursion into his hometown, Mohammad joined local protests that erupted in response to the army’s presence. Tragically, he was shot in the face by Israeli forces near bypass road #60 during the confrontation. Initially unidentified, his injuries were known to be severe before he was taken away by Israeli forces. Despite efforts to save his life, Mohammad succumbed to his wounds in an Israeli hospital at dawn the following day, June 25, 2022.
