A trooper tried to pull over Mitchell Buel for aggravated speeding and reckless driving. He refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. The chase went to a dead-end road. When the trooper tried to arrest Buel, at least one shot was fired and Buel was struck. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.
