Mira Rami al-Ifranji was 11 years old and the younger sister of Dima. She was a cheerful and loving child, known for her closeness to her family and her gentle nature. Like her sister, she was part of a trauma recovery program run by the Norwegian Refugee Council, which aimed to help children in Gaza heal from the mental and emotional wounds inflicted by years of conflict.
On the night of May 16, 2021, an Israeli airstrike destroyed her residential building. Mira died instantly in the attack, along with Dima and several other family members. Her death underscores the harsh reality for children in Gaza, where even sleep and family life offer no protection from violence.
