Michele M. Dabrowski died when a car struck her after she'd been ordered out of her car by rookie officer James Brown on a four-lane road. Brown said he'd stopped Dabrowski at around 2 a.m., determined that she may have been DUI and had her get out of the car. Soon afterward, Dabrowski was hit by a teenaged driver who police said was asleep at the wheel. Dabrowski died instantly. A DuPage County coroner's jury ruled Dabrowski's death an accident.
