Gaskill was reportedly waving a handgun at passing motorists in the area of Canal Boulevard. Redmond Police responded after receiving a number of 911 calls about the man. Officers made contact with Gaskill. Sometime after that, a Redmond Police car hit Gaskill. Police would not say whether the officer driving the car intentionally hit Gaskill.
