Michael Leroy McGinnis was shot and killed when officers attempted to arrest him at his apartment on two warrants for Indecency with a Child and a motion to provoke warrant around 9 a.m. Police found McGinnis armed with a weapon in the back bedroom of an apartment, and after 11 minutes of negotiations, McGinnis allegedly moved his handgun in a threatening manner and was shot and killed.
