About 9:45 pm, the White County Sheriff's Office received a call from a family member regarding a domestic disturbance. Michael Leroy Camp was brandishing a firearm and firing shots within the residence and was threatening to harm his wife. Deputies arrived and Camp barricaded himself inside his shop building on the same property. He exchanged gunfire with deputies, but nobody was injured. Camp eventually came out from the shop building holding a gun to his head and shot and killed himself.
