An FBI agent deputized as a U.S. Marshal was attempting to serve federal and state arrest warrants on Michael Jonathan Cortez. Surveillance video showed the agent pull up to a store and run around his other with his weapon drawn. The video does not show what happened inside the store. The agent reportedly went to the door, gave unspecified orders, and Cortez tried to run out of the store, bumping into the agent. The agent pushed him back. Cortez allegedly drew a handgun, and the agent shot and killed him.
