Michael Johnson was involved in a crash at 1:14 a.m. Johnson allegedly confronted responding deputies with a knife and moved toward them when deputies attempted to contact him. Deputies fired beanbag rounds, striking Johnson multiple times. Johnson kept advancing toward the deputies, and Sgt. Russell King and Deputy Justyn Czyrklis shot and killed him. Johnson's blood-alcohol content was .27, three times the legal limit.
