At Rest

Less-than-lethal force
Deputies W. Walker and D. Speed responded to a other crash. Shepard, incoherent and injured, tried to talk to deputies. Deputies handcuffed him and took him to their patrol other. Shepard resisted, falling on the deputies and knocking them to the ground. He started kicking Deputy Speed. Deputy Walker struck Shepard's leg with a flashlight until he stopped kicking. Shepard passed out and later died. The crash may have been the result of a drug binge. Texas Ranger Brad Oliver investigated.
This record exists so that Micah Theron Shepard, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
