West Allis police said they pulled over a car that was involved in an armed robbery at the George Webb restaurant. During the traffic stop, a passenger in the car got out and fired at the officer, but didn't hit him. The man who fired the shot ran away, and the person still in the car drove off. Minutes later, the man who shot was found hiding in a dumpster. During an encounter with the man, officers from the West Allis and New Berlin police departments shot and killed him.
