Cooper was one of three narcotics suspects chased by an unmarked police car on a mid-morning Monday. The suspects' white Buick rammed the county other, fled, ran a red light at a busy intersection, and collided with an air-conditioning van. Cooper, riding in the back seat, died in the crash.
